The ANHE Food & Agriculture Committee presents the third webinar in a 3-part series “Plant-forward Diets: Benefits for Health and the Planet.” Our webinar speaker is Joanne Evans, RN PMHCNS-BC MEd, clinical specialist in adult psychiatric and mental health nursing and executive director and Healthy Nurses … Healthy Communities. Food production requires substantial resources, land, water, energy, which has impacts on the environment. There is a movement to move towards more sustainable food choices, but what exactly is a healthier diet for a healthy planet? A plant-forward diet has both benefits for personal health and the environment, while also reducing the emissions that worsen climate change. This webinar discusses the benefits of plant-forward eating and how nurses can work with individuals, health institutions, communities, and governments to advance healthy and sustainable diets.
