    • This 1 hour webinar presentation raises awareness of and educates nurses on the negative health impacts of occupational exposure to waste anesthetic gases (WAGs). We provide recommendations to reduce exposure for providers, patients and the environment as well as resources for nurses to take action.

      Learning Objectives:

      1. Recognize waste anesthetic gases in the workplace.
      2. Describe the impacts that waste anesthetic gases have on patients, nurses as well as their environmental impact beyond the health care setting.
      3. Describe potential actions to reduce exposure for patients, nurses and the environment.
