Section outline

    • Would you like to discover which policies and actions truly move the needle on climate? The En-ROADS workshop is a hands-on experience that puts you in the driver’s seat of climate policy. In just 60 minutes, you’ll use a powerful, MIT-backed climate model to test real solutions — from clean energy and nature-based strategies to cutting-edge carbon removal — and see their impact on health, equity, and the planet. With live polls, interactive scenarios, and real-time results, this session is engaging, practical, and empowering. You’ll leave with clearer insights and new ideas on how to communicate research findings in an interactive manner. We will also kick around ideas on how you could use the tool for research or how the tool could be improved for the purposes of environmental health nursing research.

      Learning Objectives:

      1. Discover how different climate solutions and policies can mitigate the health impacts of climate change (impacts such as extreme heat, vector-borne diseases, crop nutrient decrease, and many others).
      2. Practice using En-ROADS to support evidence-based climate. advocacy.
      3. Describe how En-ROADS can enhance your community engagement and communication on climate impacts.
