  4. Advancing Health Justice for Farmworkers

Course summary

Farmworkers are essential to our food system, yet they experience disproportionate environmental and occupational health risks that often go unseen and unaddressed. Featuring speakers from the Migrant Clinicians Network, the webinar will share environmental and occupational hazards faced by farmworkers, including pesticide exposure, heat-related illness, and workplace injuries. The session will also highlight practical strategies for providing culturally responsive care and improving continuity of care for farmworker communities, taking into account language, migration patterns, and access barriers. Participants will learn actionable steps participants can take to raise awareness and promote safer, healthier conditions for farmworkers and their families.
